I don't have many stamps that would look ok "Off the Edge". In fact I looked through all my stamps and didn't think I had any that would work so I'd decided not to do this challenge. Anyway I was messing around on the old interweb, as you do, and I came across some Christmas stamps and then I suddenly remembered my new Christmas Tree stamp that is part of a set my mum bought me for Christmas.
So I stamped it off the edge in Black Stazon and added a Penny Black Sentiment which says "have yourself a merry little Christmas" then added some small green gems to the tree to add a bit of bling - hope that still qualifies as one layer otherwise I'll have to pick them off again!!!
Stamps: Penny Black, Papermania
I've just been to upload it to the challenge blog and realised it's not that different to the example card. Doh! I did try putting the sentiment in various different places but it didn't look right. Oh well it's the taking part that counts! :0)

Fe-Fe...totally adorable card! Love the curved sentiment!
This is a great card, love the wavy sentiment, and I think the gems look great. Jo x
This is great... and gems are perfectly acceptable! Don't go picking them off!
Love the sentiment too!
Thanks for joining us and we hope to see you next time!

"Less is More"
This is a lovely card and fits the bill perfectly, and its never too early to start on those xmas cards xx
I'm glad that happens to other people and not just me. I love this. That off the edge design works so beautifully. I hope the bling was legal. I'm not quite sure what the exact rules regarding layers are. I think this is great and well done for persevering when you thought you wouldn't be able to join in!
I agree that it's never to early to start on those Christmas cards (to avoid the panic in November!) and this card is super duper

Simply elegant....

Hi Fe-Fe
Great CAS card and no don't take the gems off they are fine The rule of thumb is minimal embellishments, which thy are and they serve a purpose, they aren't 'just in a corner' for instance
Thanks so much for entering again

Love the simplicity and elegance of this card. GREAT for duplicating lots of 'em at Christmas!
