This blog was started mainly for my crafting, however I also find myself writing about my family life too and in particular about my son Josh. Josh is just Josh to us and we're used to his quirky behaviour. As I don't want to have to mention Josh's autism every time I post about him, I thought I'd mention it here. Hopefully you will bear this in mind as you read and it may give you a little insight into the wonderful world of the autisic child in a very gentle way!

Josh's Birthday Cards
And then I remembered that I hadn't made him a card from Max. I quickly made this one for him. You can tell I made it in a rush as the sticky ribbon isn't straight! Doh!
The stamp is by Whipper Snapper and coloured with Twinkling H2O's. The sentiment I did on the computer and the ribbon is by Dovecraft.

Harry the Dog
These past couple of days have been a big manic - too much to do and not enough time to do it in! Plus a couple of unexpected turn ups which have thrown a spanner in the works, so to speak. One of which was a "do" over the MOT for my car, which long story short, meant the kids and I spent between 3pm and 5pm yesterday waiting at the garage for my car to pass it's MOT. Don't even ask!! As a result, I haven't had chance to make anything or put anything on here and I feel a bit neglectful.
I was, therefore, determined that I would squeeze in a quick card before the day was out yesterday and I got my chance in the evening as Peej was working late, Ellie was in bed and Josh was quite happily playing on the computer.
I used some free papers I've had for a while, some red ribbon, a Happy Birthday rub on, some brads, eyelets (set using my new crop o dile!!) and my "Harry the Dog" stamp. I'm quite pleased with it to say it was done in a 20 minute time slot. Although I have to say the dog was already coloured in so that made it much quicker to make.
