David's Tube

My mum's partner David was sixty a couple of weeks ago. This is a tube I altered to put his gifts in. We actually got the tube while we were on holiday in Marbella. It came with a bottle of olive oil in it as a gift from the rep. The tube was originally black with olives on it.

I have covered the tube in two different papers and added a ribbon to cover the join. I made two holes in the sides using my crop-o-dile and threaded some platted wool through to make a carry handle. I added the "For a Man Who Is 60" and two arrows and then filled it with goodies!

I also paid a little visit to Hobbycraft in Stockport this morning so I now have blog candy to give away. I was going to take a photo to post on my blog but most people that have left a comment so far seem to like the idea of it being a surprise so I'm not going to. You'll just have to wait and see!
I will still take a photo though I'll just put it on afterwards when the winner has received it.

Right better go it's nearly picking up from school time again. Doesn't it come round quick!
