This blog was started mainly for my crafting, however I also find myself writing about my family life too and in particular about my son Josh. Josh is just Josh to us and we're used to his quirky behaviour. As I don't want to have to mention Josh's autism every time I post about him, I thought I'd mention it here. Hopefully you will bear this in mind as you read and it may give you a little insight into the wonderful world of the autisic child in a very gentle way!

Ellie's First Reading Book
Ellie came home from school with her first reading book today. She was so pleased she read it to me. Then when Patrick got back she read it it again to Daddy and then when Josh got back from being out with his dad, Ellie read her book to him too. I don't know who was more proud of her, Mum, Dad, Josh or herself!!

aahh that is so cute.. Knowing Ellie like I do it wasnt "gone with the wind" was it? Cause everyone, Ellie is one very gifted little girl! kisses n hugs to her FeFe.x.x
that's my girl! She takes after her mum as she could read before she started school. Although once there she promptly forgot it all and started reading like the others in her class! I think she must have thought that was how you had to read the books she brought home from school, slow and staccatto - she was OK with the ones at home! Thank goodness things have now progressed ....
Don't they just look so cute???
Proud Grandma :-)
Cute photo! My girls both love to read, and I do too, and I'm so thankful that they can get lost in their books! Every book you open is like a new adventure! Love it!
aw too cute! I loved to read as a kid. I would even read too my friends.
